Beauty By Yen
Thank you for choosing Beauty By Yen. My goal is for you to feel comfortable in my care and ensure you are the safest, healthiest, and have the most beautiful outcome possible.
In order to do this, I request that all of my clients set up a 15-30 minute pre-consultation through a Facetime call ( at 505-922-5312 ) with me to discuss their procedure.
We will review your desired outcome, your skin type, current and past health conditions, and review any concerns and questions you may have.
In order to ensure that you are safe, and healthy and that we achieve the best outcome possible, I reserve the right to Deny service based on the results of your medical status.
If we are both comfortable moving forward with the procedure, we will schedule and a $50 non- refundable deposit will be collected after the pre-consultation.
Please acknowledge that these beauty procedures are a big decision, and ensure that you take the time to make the right decision for your body and health. Please understand that the deposit is non-refundable; be sure you are committed and ready for your beauty procedure when scheduling. Thank you for your understanding and for trusting me with your beauty needs.

Lip After Care
• Avoid eating spicy and salty food. Use straw to drink for the first a few days. Salt can remove the pigments and cause colour lost.
• Keep the area CLEAN. Use sodium chloride soaked cotton balls to gently wipe away excess fluid and pigment.
• Keep the area MOISTURIZED. Use Aftercare as an after care anti-oxidant. Gently apply every hour or two or when you feel tender, itchy or dry for 10–14 days.
• This provides pain relief, moisturizes, prevents infection, promotes healing and helps retain colour. (If you do not have Bacitracin Zinc, or Polysporin use Vaseline or Vitamin A & D ointment instead).
• Avoid soaps/facial cleansers on pigmented areas (wash around them) pat dry with a clean towel.
• Before showering, use Aftercare first and apply Vaseline on top. Do not directly shower the treated area.
• Before sleeping, use Aftercare as well as a thick layer of Vaseline or A&D Ointment on top to keep the area moisturized overnight.
• DO NOT rub, scratch or pick any crust along the tattooed area. Early removal of pigment crusts may result in lost colour.
• DO NOT apply makeup on the pigmented area during the healing process.
• Avoid swimming, soaking, steam bath and facials for the 1 st week.
• Avoid applying Exfoliates or AHA/glycolic acid products to the tattooed area for at least 2 weeks.
• Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds) during healing process.During the initial lip blushing healing stage, spanning Days 1-7, individuals can expect a dynamic process as their lips undergo transformative changes.
Day 1-2:
• Immediately after the procedure, your lips will appear darker and more intense in color than the final result.
• There might be slight swelling, tenderness, and redness in the treated area.
• Some ointment or a healing balm may be applied by your technician to aid in healing and keep the lips moisturized.
Day 3-4:
• The color will begin to fade, and your lips may start to feel dry or chapped.
• It’s crucial to keep the lips moisturized with the provided ointment to prevent excessive dryness and cracking.
• Some scabbing or flaking might occur as the top layer of skin starts to peel.
Day 5-7:
• Your lips will continue to lighten in color, and the initial intensity will subside.
• Scabbing and flaking can become more noticeable, and the lips may feel tight or itchy.
• Avoid picking at the scabs, as this can lead to uneven healing or loss of pigment.
• Continue applying the recommended ointment to maintain moisture
